On this page we will try to provide a sort of roadmap to starting a chapter of the Dionysus Society in your local area.
Key Steps
Build A Presence
The first step is to build a presence. This includes setting up some social media, putting out flyers or posters, and being seen in the community representing the Dionysus Society locally.
Gather Members
As you develop a presence, you will find people interested in what you are doing, provide them the information they need to make the informed decision about whether the Dionysus Society is right for them.
Engage The Community
Once you have built up a presence and gathered together a few members for your new chapter, engage the community by organizing events, such as a bar crawl or charity fundraiser.
You Are Not Alone
The Dionysus Society is here for you. If they can, chapters in the area will come to events you are organizing, will help you with planning and getting started. We are as much a mutual support group as a social club or a religious organization, and as you get your new chapter off the ground, do not hesitate to ask the chapters nearby for help or guidance.

The Convocation has a packet of information detailing some step by step recounting of the establishment of other chapters that they can share with you as needed. Don't be afraid to try, if you make mistakes then you will learn from them and grow.

If you have not joined an existing chapter, it is probably wise to do so before trying to start your own. This will help you to get a feel for the culture and practices of the Dionysus Society rather than you having to figure it out from scratch.
